As for your last point, I don't recall saying that ALL Keynesian were way off on their predictions, just that Krugman ADMITS he didn't see it coming. Why interview a guy for solutions when he missed the boat? Nice attempt to change the subject rather than address my actual comment.

I'm very happy that they don't hate themselves, and I will not, could not stop them from doing whatever it is they decide to do. If I actually had a voice in government, perhaps they'd listen, but we both know that aside from the general election, our opinions always fall on deaf ears in Washington.

I'm not duped by anything. My economic beliefs are supported by theory, research, economists, politicians and Joe-blow people off the street, just as yours are.

Because time and time again it has proven better than the alternatives? Besides over the last 3 decades Americans have gotten the government they deserved. Republicans ran on the failure of government and were elected to prove said failure. The did a heckuva job.

Perhaps if we stopped electing people to government who HATE GOVERNMENT and want to "starve it to death" (Republicans), we might actually have a government that knows how to do their jobs. Being an obstructionist is also not going to help government do its job.
