Volleyball is hella more popular than Basketball. The world's biggest jumpers (excluding Track and Field of course) play Volleyball... not Basketball. I am one to believe that some Basketball players have wasted their jumping ability on Basketball (although the majority of Basketball players can't actually jump, they just depend on their freakishly huge heights).

Apparently Canada is too. If "we" are counting participants and spectators then the top sports world wide are Soccer, Cricket, Field Hockey, Tennis, and then Volleyball. However, I suspect "we" are counting just participants. In which case you're still wrong as Swimming leads that category. Then it's Soccer followed by Volleyball. Or maybe "we" should include television viewers which would catapult Formula 1 to the top of the list. Oh and by the way, this global game originated in the US;)
