V for Vendetta Speech

Voting 3rd party is a throw away vote. A third party will never make it into the white house the way things are right now. It is sad but people have to choose the lesser of two evils right now. McCain is way far from perfect but Obama so much worse. I wouldn't pick McCain but it is either him or Obama and I would never pick Obama.

How is that? Did he stop free speech? Did he censor art and stuff? What about this movie makes you think of Bush?

exactly. i think that we should all just say screw the gov and stop paying taxes for maybe a month or so. it would scare the hell out of them and they would have no idea what to do

if i may disagree for the info section of this video, while the overall theme of V for Vendetta is Totalitarianism=bad, if you had read the graphic novel you would know that V is an anarchist and not a democratic capitalist. and also the problem doesn't stem from totalitarianism, it stems from fear and indifference, and when governments stop being afraid of their people and people begin to fear their governments. viva la revolucion!

I honestly believe that we the people will lose because too many people have and will continue to do nothing.

The problem we have now is because we have a basically two party election. The Republican and Democratic Party are the big parties because they have the most airtime, hype, and money. Election's should not be about money but, change.

You have to be F'ing joking me. Both major parties will take you to the same ends. McCain is a war/fear monger, just like bush. Bush used 911 to bring forth all of the governments greatest wet dreams. If you wish to not throw away your vote then you'll need to vote 3rd party.

For all of those whom say this reflects American society, let us remember that this very movie was written to reflect the views of any government. This is to warn of any government, that there is no such thing as justice without freedom.

It draws influence from every form of government, from, as Vanguard said, Nazi Germany, to the real Great Britian.

Government is the responsibility of the people. We all must remember that, especially in these turbulant times.

Sure they are totalitarian. Although some might like the ideas of Marx, these ideas never worked out in the real life. Show me just one example of a communist country, which is not totalitarian. Daydreaming about a Marxist society might have seemed to be a great idea in the early XX. century, but I cant believe you are serious about it in 2008, after all the harm the communists have done so far.

Which country are you from? Do you have any doubt that the communist/socialist regimes in China, Russia, Cuba, Poland, The GDR or Hungary were totalitarian? Western Europe and The States are much more free societies. Of course governments around the world always try to reduce freedom, still a free market makes this a little harder.
