It just depends on what you really want to do, if you want to be an officer more power to you. But if you go enlisted and dont like it and want to be an officer, you can still if you really want to. I was thinking about doing Pararescue when i first joined.

it depends on if you have a set job or if you go open. Usually your recruiter will give you your date that you are leaving for basic training.

man im leavin Tueday but checkin in on Monday and im freakin out abit, this is my last weekend!

how do you know when you leave for basic? is it in your contract or does your recruiter call you?

Anyone shooting for Pararescue? I've been training for about 2 years for it, and didnt want go in unless I felt fully prepared.

Also, I don't know if I want to take the officer path, or the enlisted path. I can transfer to an ROTC detachment in about a year, but I really want to do more mission oriented stuff, which would be the enlisted route.

Any advice my fellow future Airmen, or current Airmen?

I wish we could have slept on top of our beds... they liked to do non-duty dorm inspections when I went through. And lord help you if you were not tucked away under those sheets...

When I went thru over 10 years ago it was during the Nov-Dec-Jan time frame and we always did PT first thing in the morning every morning. Except Sundays. Most of us slept in out PT gear on top of our bunks (not in them) the night before. That way when revelie went off all we'd have to do was get up, straighten our bed a little, put on our shoes and fall out downstairs for head count.

By the way what's that damn TI doing with his hat on indoors? (just before he flipped on the lights)
