penhold is an outdated grip now. the game has gotten a lot faster. 40 mm balls dont generate as much spin its all about speed now. the 'european grip' is a lot more versatile

haha, you totally missed the point of the comment. at the time of this match in 05, maze was next to unknown except in his home of denmark. the fact that he made it to the semis in shanghai. i mean come on man, do you not see it? and the fact that he was defensive does make it a better match because defensive players always have the disadvantage.

well first of all, my name isnt Arvi, its Arvid. Secondly evryone knows who micheal maze is. And third, just because he was defensive, doesnt make the match better

think about it arvi, an almost unknown dane making it to the semis. blowing out a chinese player who was the clear cut favorite. he did it with defense too. at least in the top 20 of all time.
