Photo Gallery and Thumbnails: Flash Tutorial!

ok well the actionscipt was causing so many problems!! If you got so far using AS 3 - START OVER... It'll take a lot shorter time to do it over then to try and figure out how to do it with actionscript 3, as it does not work in the same way at all and you will probably have to read at least 5 tutorials on how to code functions for buttons using AS3...so start over, it's alot quicker the 2nd time around anyway...AND WORTH IT!

why is it when I put the code

on(release){
photosMC.gotoAndPlay("img1");
}
for one button, the same code shows up for all the buttons.

Check to make sure you don't have a blank frame after the image, is sounds like you might have your stop action set after the image. Or do you have a stop action set for those three images?

and when i say "they disappear" I mean the images, not the thumbs

when i click the thumbs for my last three images, they disappear after a short while being displayed. any tips?

make sure you click or select the image, otherwise it won't show you the drop menu.

i got the whole way to the part where you create a tween for the alpha levels of the photos in the timeline. when i select the images layers it doesn't display the alpha drop menu. what the hell?

If you guys use CS3 make sure to put the ActionScript version 2.0. Otherwise won't work. ;)
