Although I've perused YouTube for years without signing up, I just had to today so I could thank you for your awesome video. As a beginner, I now have hope that I can play at least one song that actually sounds like a song! The Elixir 12-53 strings are what they are now using as the standard when they come straight from the factory in Melbourne. They have this cool "nanoweb' coating which seems to make them last for ages whilst still keeping there sweet sound. I met the head Maton guitar maker a while back just by chance in my local music shop and he was a really cool guy. He told me he just uses one of the bottom of the range 225's when he could have any guitar he wants, to me that really says something about it.

Awsome, I had the EM325C in queensland walnut and it was the most amazing looking guitar i have seen.
I agree they are fantastic guitars best of all not many people in the UK know about them :) Took me along time and cost alot of money for my 80.
Interesting string selection, ill defo try them out next time i re-string. I always use D'Addario and get a nice sound.

No problem. My Maton is a EM225C (with the AP4 pickup), so it has the larger body than the ECW80C but otherwise pretty similar. Maton's in my opinion are the best guitars in the world, I love the sound and when combined with Elixir strings they are awesome!!!!
