This is David Blaine's trick from his dvd. Under "Street Magic" David does a trick where he has a guy write his nickname "Fruit Loops," and he makes his card jump to the top. This is how he does the whole trick.. at least I think. Please rate.

what he means by duplicate is there is a card on top of whatever card the spectator chooses

@ 1:53 i believe, he doesnt do it that way...he actually gets a thumb break and shows the card real fast,dropping another card on top of the spectator's card...it's like the move in ambitious card routine...it's alot easier

my friend did the a card trick similar to this, and im not sure what he did is what you described, coz he does it differently and makes it look very convincing
