I saw the stunning artwork of visionary artist John Pitre and then heard this beautiful a cappella version of Neil Young's song After the Goldrush on iTunes. This version is on the Dawn Anthology Album and I believe the group is called Prelude.

Hi all the band was called Prelude and were big in the 70's they toured America with Ralph mctell and if anyone is interested they are still going same lineup but now called American Routes doing mostly country stuff I have seen them several times in the last few years and everytime I ask their Lady singer to do Goldrush for me and she always does and she does it as good as ever pure magic

This is very good, but for some reason I don't feel that it quite compares with Neil Young's version.

No, sorry! The single has been released in 1973, then reissued in 1982 with a cover showing a beautiful setting sun on the sea. I've got the single, LP and CD.
This is wonderful as well as the Neil Young's version.

Heard this once back in the early seventies. Didn't know what it was called or who sang it but I never forgot it or stopped searching for it. HEAVEN I found if about 10 mins ago and it sounds better now than it did then.
