REAL AIKIDO
Real Aikido is first and only Serbian ultimate self-defense martial art. Real Aikido is efficient, widely applicable self-defense skill, derived from traditional aikido, judo and jujitsu. It involves joint locks, throws, strikes, blocks, and chokes. The founder of Real Aikido is Grand Master Ljubomir Vracarevic, holder of the black belt, 10th Dan, professor of Real Aikido and Ju-jitsu. Thanks to his long experience acquired and improved by continuous contact with first-class Japanese masters of this skill, master Vracarevic distinguished several thousand techniques, purified them, reformed their elements, introducing in his own knowledge from other fighting skills, creating a new style Real Aikido - extremely efficient and flexible system of defense techniques. Flexibility of Real Aikido is just one of its most important characteristics. Putting together different techniques according to the real situation, maximal efficiency is achieved. Transition from one to another technique is simple, and only knowledge and skill will determine which elements someone will use. These unlimited possibilities of combining, enable multiple applies of Real Aikido

Like I said I used it against a guy that was pissed at me in a club and it spilled into parking lot. I am 5'11 and this guy was around 6'3. I can attest to Aikido working, but I guess its like anything, it depends on your skill level and how fast you move and how you percieve the situation. Aikido does not have OFFICIAL tournaments because it is against its principles, but I wouldnt mind taking on someone who is skilled in another discipline toe to toe.

I don't know man, I can see the usefullness of some of the moves and the principle of using your opponents momentum to take him to the ground, but this is only going to work if you run into an inexperienced fighter who isn't expecting you to put up a fight. It seems like you really have to suprise someone with what you are going to do for this to work and only at the start of a fight at that. I'm a big fan of the Army's mixed fighting style based of Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

I was a 2 year student at Nippon Kan in Denver....best 2 years of learning, now I attend another school, but its not as good, I just attend to stay learning. Most people think Aikido is not for REAL situations, but I have used it once outside of club when guy grabbed me and tried to punch me in my face. I avoided a full on brawl. I could hav broken his arm at the elbow, but my life was noot in danger so I just made it where he was in pain.

God bless you and thank you!!
i totally agree. i practise Shorinji kempo which is simular to REAL AIKIDO and we have the same principals. but i also agree with martial arts etc being advertised as a way of quelling violence because in our society today we hear too much of people getting uneccercarily hurt and even killed. i think more people should practise these arts and learn how to properly defned themselves.

By GreedyCookiesMonster [Affiliate User] 1224538262 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeaikido was meant for peace not for looking for and ass kicking, with practice and didication this really works. once the joints lock up there is nothing you can do to free yourself unless your looking to do some major damage to your muscles and joints.
