A quick introduction to Crappie Fishing ! An overview of bait, presentation and the slip bobber rig.
I have caught several crappie over 15" and 2 pounds using these techniques. A medium action spinning rod rigged with 8 pound test line and a few supplies and minnows is about all you need to enjoy a great day on your local pond, lake or river. Let us know what you think ! PS !!! ... use the same rig and substitute the hook with a smaller long shank hook, rig it up with a cricket starting behind his head and coming out at his rear ... set about 3' deep and you got a great monster bluegill rig !!! Bluegills will be ready soon !!! (April-May in Richmond, VA)

    well ... i do use jigs ... all the time ! wanted to put the info out there to help people catch fish who are interested in the sport. minnows are great on those tough days for the big slabs. you are right ... it is the easiest and best way ! puts some good food on the table also for those not as talented with hook sets on jigs ... like families or kids ! ... and if it is within game and fish guidelines ... it ain't cheatin !!! LMAO :D

    thanks ! i assume you saw the "bobber rig" vid as well. Doing one soon on largemouth bass and big blue cats. I will detail the rigs there as well ... tight lines !
