I've seen many "record people" on television say Karen Carpenter's voice recorded flawlessly. Her voice truly was a gift from God. Just imagine if she were still here. All of the music that could have been. RIP Karen. You are still loved.

Early 70s my sisters played this on the piano while I played in the yard. You could hear it around the neighborhood because we had a screen door and no A/C. I was 4 or 5. Wish I could do that again. 5 years later my sister gets an eating disorder.

My father was the one who liked the Carpenters and I've got a musical taste a bit similar to his.
Even though I don't listen to these older songs all the time, I love them and love Karen's voice.
Her deep notes sound very beautifully and I get surprised with her because her voice is simple, deep, but it's so special and unique. Really admire her as a singer.
Their songs bring me many good memories from the time my father lived with me in this house... :)

I had a girlfriend in the 60's and worked for a Manager in the 90's whose names were both Karen so naturally this song reminds me of both of them as the singer's name is also Karen. Karen Carpenter is one of my favorite singers even though she left this world all too soon. Her kind of music was the kind that you could stay with and never get tired of because it was easy on the ears and had a meaning to it. Whoever you are, thank you for keeping this beautiful music alive.
