Pick up a Lee Iacooca book, platform sharing is nothing on how a vehicle performs and will handle, it is just a sheet of metal, like a sole of a shoe. Educate yourself, read specs, Tahoe for utilization vs Hummer, then take any ref to Xpert off your name or go with a base Chevy 4x4, Tahoe ruins any logic in your post, for it is all the same platform, less comfortable. Pick a 2007 up on Ebay, 35-37K, three to four years bumper to bumper warranty (certified, or to 50K non certified) pull 8000lbs, on a truck that someone paid 60K for. I drive 10K a year, hell a FJ Toyota needs Premium Gas and the mileage is in the teens anyway. Give me a some American Steel, a Hummer, not a Jap Toy that can't pull two horses in a trailer. Son, platform sharing is not near the same truck, need to know AUTO 101, if you believe you think platform has any similarity means a thing your way off. Every one shares multiple platforms, Saab, Malibu, Cadilac, Opel, if you don't think a CTS no different to an Malibu (suspension, steering, clearance for 4x4, handling, engine, luxury vs utility, transmissions, seats, etc.) don't buy, you have not learned the basics. Drive them is ur 16, this ain't pinto, camaro vs bobcat and firebird though

Now this is an honest question not really about the Hummer... Do Americans buy so many pick up trucks because they like the 'honest hard working' image they portray or do they actually haul things around all day (can't imagine why), because if not that is truly pathetic.

Hummers are a bit like this old saying:

Not to mention that that is the ugliest and slowest pick up I've ever seen. A shopping trolley would have more performance! LOL
