I agree it was a dictatorship, but let's not forget it was a democratically elected dictatorship. Surely that's a contradiction in terms? Indoctrination aside, why would anyone elect to lose the right to elect? There is no going back once you've made that sort of decision.

Well, it was a dictatorship, so what choice did they have but to obey Addie or die? And I don't think the efforts of only person are enough to sway an entire population. You need to have a system of indoctrination in place as well, that is, media, propaganda, police, army, and courts of law to manipulate/control the masses. This sort of system exists right to this very day. People are too busy spending money, earning it, or pleasing their senses to fight The Big Boss.

I visited it because I've always wondered why it is that us humans can be so easily lead by one person. No matter how F**king mad they obviously are in retrospect. I'd like to know what it takes not to be sucked in to what appears to be divine knowledge when deep down I know we are all alone in the world, and should know better. And yes it is fascinating to think that anyone of us given the right circumstances could end up just as sick.

Too bad. Tony Martin? Never heard of 'em. This reminds me as to why I don't read newspapers: because it's choc full of tidbits that I really don't need to know about. However, I could see the value of knowing if one's neighbourhood is experiencing a crime wave (e.g. burglary). Why'd you visit this Hitler vid on youtube, anyways? I guess I was just curious, as human beings seem t/b fascinated with the dark side of our psyches.

I wish I could, but our government won't let me. I've been burgled three times and would have loved to catch one of them in the act. I don't know if you have heard of Tony Martin, who shot two burglars, killing one. He got five years in prison for his public spirited act.
