They should be horrible tortured, for a 72 hour period, have their non-vital organs ripped out of their body by hand, and what's left of them be feed to zoo animals.

Punishments in this day and age are far too light when it comes to violent crimes; we need more brutal punishments like in the old days: if what I described above doesn't put fear into someone and stop them from committing a violent act against another, then actually experiencing it will be a just punishment.
