  • Check to make sure ...

Check to make sure you are getting 12 volts out of the panel. Also, you have to use sunlight, regular lamps wont produce enough light.

  • I have a new 12 ...

I have a new 12 volt ( 2.88 watt ) solar panel and a computer fan; 12volt, .25A. I can't get my fan to run with the solar panel, but the fan will run on battery power.
    Any suggestions?

  • Consider yourself ...

Consider yourself lucky. I am trying to run a fan with three 1 watt solar panels and it does not work. I understand why: the amperage is equivalent to 0.5mA. What I need to do however is lower the voltage and raise the amperage. The only way I can do that is if I get the right resistor. Anyways, thanks for sharing.
