I LOVE this movie... My favourite! I've seen it since I was a litle boy and I still love it. Peter Jcksons version is also great but this is the best. I don't care about the special effects. Their great considering the time they were made. And the black and white saves the special effects a bit I think

its an anamatronic (spelling?) robot :P i saw on 50 most famous animals :P it was moving =o

the peter jackson death made me cry.. this one made me laugh! lol BOUNCY BOUNCY!!

buy the two disc set of the movie the second disc shows how the puppet was made. its a 3 hour documentary very interesting

its called stop go animation, like Wallace and gromit...using plastecine...playdoh, whatever you want to call it.

yes this would have to be one of the best movie's made in the 30's to have a computer animated character.

Seriously, Thank You for giving me a generous reply back to me, becuase there is alot of people on youtube, that may say a bad word to that person that gives the wrong comment to that video, And I truely understand what you mean when you said it was a marvel time, but I apologize for my opinion to this movie, everybody feels differently about what they see. ^_^*

Cut it some slack 1syw. It was a marval for it's time. It was able to do things that were pretty much impossible to achieve in the 30's.

It may look bad to you now but that's life. Decades from now people will look at PJ's version and laugh and say: "Who gave this 5 stars, seriously look at the picture closely, this S**kS !!!!!!!!!
