Verizon's HTC Droid Eris will launch alongside the Motorola Droid as VZW's first pair of Android phones. The Eris is basically Verizon's version of the HTC Hero, which first made waves a few months ago as the snazziest Android handset on market - largely thanks to its Sense UI.

Verizon will have the Droid Eris available on Nov. 6 for $99 with new 2-year contract

    i want this one because its cheaper but i want the 16 gb, flash, 1gigahewrtz just all the other stuff for the droid and i could get either one and i think this looks better but i want the keyboard. im buying tomorrow what do i do D; (i text alot too) lol

    Looks like a great phone. I think the fact that you have multitouch web browsing is a HUDGE advantage for HTC. I have a Blackberry Storm and like it but would definetly consider this as my next phone.

    I want this so bad. Was thinking of getting the Hero for Sprint but have heard bad things about Sprint in my area. This looks like it will be the phone I get.
