    What you see is as much information on how she died that we have. It is a lousy James Wong/Glen Morgan slasher film remake. How much do you expect. She died because she is in a lousy genre film and JW/GM think the advent of bad CGI effects is a good enough reason to remake a classic movie. Don't think too hard about it.
