Dark side it has... hmmm
Hold the world together it does... yes....
Usually you drill small holes in whatever you are molding, so the vacuum S**ks THROUGH the thing you are molding. I worked in a shop that had one, they made the molds out of plaster and drilled them small so the plastic wouldn't dimple into the holes.

If you had a larger pegboard/vacuum combo you could use it for screen-printing. The vacuum tables we used at college cost a bomb but they really do the job when it comes to holding the paper down, so a home-made alternative would be jolly spiffing
By sundaeg1rl [Affiliate User] 1208540833 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFoil tape is duct tape. That is, it's used to seal ducts. Your house's heating and cooling ducts have it.
Duct tape was originally for sealing ammo boxes in WWII, not sealing air tight containers.
Cool!

By 04rossca [Affiliate User] 1208512722 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehe should have placed an o-ring around the suction cup it would have held the suction a bit better.
but good project idea, always wondered about making a mold
Since things are heating up it might not be a good idea to use plastic toys as was suggested.
Good base idea to work with and improve upon though. =) Thanks
