Ranbir is back with a very promising and much-anticipated film Ajab Prem Ki gazab Kahani opposite the newly crowned princess of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi the man who gave us smash hits like Damini, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh and Khakee to name a few!
This is for the first time that Ranbir is working with Katrina Kaif. Ranbir plays a depressed lover-boy his character is inspired by the one played by his late grandfather Raj Kapoor. Salman Khan will be seen in a guest appearance in the film. Salman comes only towards the end of the film. Salman Khan had earlier worked with Rajkumar Santoshi in the cult comedy Andaaz Apna Apna now Sallu's presence further adds to the anticipation of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
As for Katrina, people who have seen the clips of Ajab Prem Ki gazab Kahani have said that the lead pair shares a wonderful chemistry and the good-looking couple compliments each other to the hilt.
Santoshi, who has not had box office success for quite some time, is trying his hand at comedy after 'Andaz Apna Apna'. He is optimistic that audiences will like the film and his lead pair Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif. "Katrina has tried her hand at comedy for the first time and has done a good job," Santoshi says.
"Ranbir plays Prem in the film. It's a love story and Prem also stands for love," he said.
