HVAC Troubleshooting Electrical Preview 1

You energize the R.V on cooling on most units like Trane Lenox,Goodman etc. but on Rheem the R.V energize on heating it all depends on the brand and ther circuit. Personally i have customized a couple of units here in Phoenix,Az whitout the defrost control since it doesn't get that cold here. it just bypass the D.C and i energized the R.V on cooling .

It shouldn't be on, it should be only on for heating mode

Thats a nice set up, anybody knows why the reversing valve is always energized for cooling?

The best way to find a short circuit is to cut the circuit in half and keep cutting it in half. you learn that fast when it is 20 below zero.
