This is a tutorial that will explain how to make a pop-up message using just notepad! I know there is a different version on youtube that people are posting, but I think this way is easier and much simpler....
i also did something in the end that i overdid....
here are the steps if you didn't get it from the video.
1) open up notepad
2) type: lol=msgbox("your message",39,"your header")
3) you can type as much as you want, when your done save it to desktop as:
filename.vbs .... it doesn't have to be filename, but the ".vbs" is really important, it's what gets the pop-up going
4) exit the notepad and click on the filename.vbs and see if it works
5) if you don't like it, or need to fix something, right-click on the file and click edit
6) edit it or add stuff to it
7) send to your friends

    here's how you do, if your friend doesn't know much about computers, then put the file onto a memory key and ask if you could borrow, or go on their laptop/desktop (say you need to check e-mail. If they say ok, then go to:
    start
    all programs
    right click on "Start Up"
    Click open
    then drag the file into the folder
    (Do this when they aren't looking)
    Then restart the computer (say that the computer crashed and you needed to restart it) then show them the message that pops up :P

    im pretty sure all you have to do is put it in your startup folder>> START>All programs>startup. save it to there and it will pop up when you log in.

    you sure you wrote down the correct code?
    lol=msgbox("something",39,"header")
    this is the template..... only change the (something) and the (header)to a message you want don't delete qoutes and don't change the number.... i'll do a how to later about the number, but school, as usual, kept me from making one.
    also, did you make sure you SAVED AS (something you want).vbs
    ???? remember, the .vbs is important
