talking like that is not impressive....and i'm not trying to convince you to like pit bulls, i'm fine with you not liking them. i HATE chihuahuas but i don't try to convince people not to get them, and that's all i was doing. hate them all you want, just don't try to convince people they're evil and aggressive. and no i don't think you're a dumb slut like everyone else.

I've been attacked and bitten by a different purebred dog at a very young age (for the sake of the breed I will not identify it), but I am not fearful of these dogs. I am fearful of dogs whose body language tells me I should be be, regardless of the breed. I meet these dogs regularly, and they come from varying breeds and backgrounds. I've found few reliable patterns. Dogs who give good signals come from varying breeds and backgrounds too, and are commonly pits.

By wagull [Affiliate User] 1223755375 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf a black person attacked your friend, would you hate all blacks? That is how grossly ignorant your remarks are. They lack intellectual depth, and focus on one aspect of the attacker- breed. Also, did you see this dog's pedigree? How do you know this dog was a purebred American pit bull terrier? And what are you, like 12? "PU LEASE"? Geez. Grow some maturity.
By wagull [Affiliate User] 1223755251 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNo reason, huh? Then you go on to provide a reason- "the dog may have been brought up bably". Also, did you witness it? Are you, or your friend an expert on dog psychology, and educated enough about it to be able to recognize whether or not there was a provocation? I doubt it. Dogs are not people, and do not interpret communication (body language) the same way people do. She may have given off a message to the dog that caused it to decide to attack. Never say there wasn't a reason.

5. Police are using more and more pit bull breeds for ALL lines of work including search and rescue.
6. Pit bull breeds are chosen more and more often over other breeds for therapy because they can be trusted around young/frail/handicapped people. Research the breed more before making assumptions.
1. PIt bulls are known for being DOG aggressive. NOT people aggressive. BIG difference.
2. The 'pit bulls' that attack are nine times out of ten no more pit bull than my corgis. The vast majority of them are lab/rottie/herding/godknowswhatelse mutts. THESE are the dogs known for human aggression.
3. Due to their fighting history, pit bull breeds are known worldwide for their dedication to humans. No one will handle a dog that might bite them.
33p1nk3 - To your post on pulling pits apart. Not in my experience. I talked with a local breeder of pits that looked exactly like the one in that video. He said if they fight DO NOT pull them apart. You'll end up getting bit. What you do is you get 2 people and push both the dogs to the ground and lay them on there side. Knee em HARD in the lungs and HOLD IT. The pressure to the lung will decrease the amount of oxygen to a very small # and in order to breathe they will release.

By phillipklemenov [Affiliate User] 1223470863 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat may be true but she didnt go up and pat the pitbull it attacked her for know reason the dog may have been brought up badly but it was still an incredibly vicious dog. Also pitbulls are known for being very vicious.....So thats why i dont like pitbulls but everyone has their own opinion.
By Gabsi101 [Affiliate User] 1223262440 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMy brother got bitten by a german shepherd when he was a child. We now own one ourselves, its the best dog u could come across, not all breds of dogs are the same, it depends on how it was brought up.
Also, did she know the dog? If not, then that was the most incredible idiotic thing i've heard, u dont walk up to a dog and pet it.
Also, it was the owner's fault, its up to them 2 make sure the dog is brought up properly.
Hi, never pull dogs apart when they're fighting, u will get bitten, instead throw water around them, or have a tin filled with stones and throw it beside them, the noise should shock them and make them stop.
Perhaps enrol in some dog trainning classes, that actually would be a good idea.
good luck
