This is the original Ryko Voyager car wash system, with stainless steel covers (like the old Ultraclean / R7B series). This particular one could use a new boost pump, but otherwise, it works ok.

Warning: If you use this machine with a car that has low ground clearance, like mine, you will have to exit by backing out. There's some kind of excessively tall bump after the left treadle switch; your wheel will just gleefully spin against the wet steel and go nowhere! XD

...no, it's not hooked up to power either.

  • Ok, I think the ...

Ok, I think the center start is normal on the Voyager I. I've seen it on the R7B as well. The Voyager II sorta has it - the foam bath starts at the front, but then the machine returns to the center before the brushes start. The double pass is used on the Works wash here

The boost pump is used to increase water pressure. Notice how low the pressure is on the wax?

As for that dryer 'leak'... I noticed that too. I think that's from some water that flew into the fan housings during the wash cycle.

All of them do that, even on a Softgloss. It's a safety feature, apparently.
