He's a drunken bum leeching off the system and taking advantage of productive citizens through intimidation. To give him money for more alcohol is only exacerbating the problem.

Even though homeless people go through a tough time, its no excuse for them to be rude to the more fortunate.

That guy was obviously drunk. I help needy people all the time, with clothes, food and sometimes money.
But guys like these, that DEMAND we help them, I don't really care.

Your response, while humane, likely served to encourage that man to further such acts, IMHO increasing the chance that someone someday, without several large men present, may be harmed by this obviously deranged man.
I would have called the cops and let them decide if he should have been taken away for treatment.

Good question, there were several other men there larger than me that should have stopped him but on the otherhand usually if you dont feed a fire it eventually goes out.
