International
Their existence is so well established historically that, as a general thing, they are no longer disputed by unbelievers, who now seek only to explain them naturally. Thus a free-thinking physician, Dr. Dumas, professor of religious psychology at the Sorbonne, clearly admits the facts (Revue des Deux Mondes, 1 May, 1907), as does also Dr. Pierre Janet (Bulletin de l'Institut psychologique international, Paris, July, 1901).
right~ typical take One verse out of Context and try to make a religion out of it, EVEN though it would go against the rest of the Bible that you claim to have read and believe in. not too mention it would go against the
Character and Nature of Jesus himself.
Quote "If you really read and study what Christ says in the N.T. and follow exactly what he says" --- If that were True of You, We wouldn't be having this conversation.
But I don't think you've read the Bible and
""Studied"" the Bible. You really have to Study the Bible to learn what its saying.
No boomya555 Jesus meant and said exactly what he meant and said. John 20:22-23 is troublesome for Fundamentalist so they try and shift focus and say there is only one mediator between God and man. Christ is at liberty to decide how his mediation would be applied to us. Christ set up confession with a priest. I do not expect you to "see the light" and realize the truth, but will pray that someday you will open your heart and mind and come home to Rome. Peace be with you.

thats sad.
So Jesus was tortured for a symbol? LOL never heard that one.
oh goodness you really are brainwashed and I seriously doubt you have read the Bible.
Dozens of Verses where Jesus says to forgive, forgive forgive and no one can forgive sin except his father and you really want to believe humans can forgive sin.
"Peter was chosen by Christ to take the keys and be the "Rock" Yep and the very Next verse He calls Him SATAN - its called Prophetic insight. Jesus never gave peter anything he used peter as example for prophetic insight.

1.3 billion muslims who believe in islam are they right also? how about the Hindus? etc etc.
I will tell you what is absurd! Picking verses out of context like the Protestants and trying to prove the Catholics wrong. Trying to say"OH No, Christ did not mean it is his actual body and blood, he meant it is was a symbol" If you really read and study what Christ says in the N.T. and follow exactly what he says and not try and twist it around to fit some new doctrine or church you can not help but see what He meant and what He wants us to do.But if you did that you would be CAtholic!
By nanabonniez [Affiliate User] 1227885628 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePeter was never in Rome - Paul was for 3 years. BUT peter never was, He didn't establish a Church their either. I even gave the quotes from the Catholic encyclopedia and Catholic scholars that say He didn't, Look it up.
By boomya555 [Affiliate User] 1227885570 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveEven Jesus himself said- none if Good not even me , Only God is Good. God forgives sin.
Jesus would not have Died on the Cross for everyone Sins and then tell the Apostles they can pick and choose who they forgive.
read the Bible in its "Context" ask questions and when you think you have the answer - Ask more questions.
They who believed on the Son of God, in consequence of their preaching, had their sins remitted; and they who would not believe were declared to lie under condemnation.

By boomya555 [Affiliate User] 1227885002 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove3-Jesus was saying in that verse - that anyone who would listen to the Gospel and believe would be saved from sin and those who didn't would not. He did not and would tell the Apostles that they had the power to forgive sin directly- They would go against the rest of the Bible where it says God forgives sin not man, Not too mention it would go against Everything Jesus ever taught about forgiving people.
By boomya555 [Affiliate User] 1227884886 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewell first of all if you had studied the Bible like you said you would have the parallel verses and the chapter in its context and used some common sense.
1-Jesus forgave everyone and Died for everyone Sin.
2-Jesus told his Apostles many times and he told everyone that would listen - To always forgive, turn the other cheek, feed your enemy,
forgive 70 times 7 etc etc.

No one willing to look at the facts with an open mind can doubt that Peter WAS in Rome. He died and was buried there. Peter was chosen by Christ to take the keys and be the "Rock" upon which Christ founded His Church. In the old testament Rock means God. When you say there is no evidence about Peter being the first Pope, do you mean no Biblical evidence? There are 67 million Catholics in America! Are we all blindly led and brainwashed? I don't think so!
