Christ is at liberty to decide how his mediation would be applied to us. Christ set up confession with a priest. Peter was never in Rome - Paul was for 3 years. BUT peter never was, He didn't establish a Church their either. I even gave the quotes from the Catholic encyclopedia and Catholic scholars that say He didn't, Look it up.

Even Jesus himself said- none if Good not even me , Only God is Good. God forgives sin.

Jesus would not have Died on the Cross for everyone Sins and then tell the Apostles they can pick and choose who they forgive.

3-Jesus was saying in that verse - that anyone who would listen to the Gospel and believe would be saved from sin and those who didn't would not. He did not and would tell the Apostles that they had the power to forgive sin directly- They would go against the rest of the Bible where it says God forgives sin not man, Not too mention it would go against Everything Jesus ever taught about forgiving people.

well first of all if you had studied the Bible like you said you would have the parallel verses and the chapter in its context and used some common sense.
1-Jesus forgave everyone and Died for everyone Sin.
2-Jesus told his Apostles many times and he told everyone that would listen - To always forgive,turn the other cheek, feed your enemy,
forgive 70 times 7 etc etc.

No one willing to look at the facts with an open mind can doubt that Peter WAS in Rome. He died and was buried there. Peter was chosen by Christ to take the keys and be the "Rock" upon which Christ founded His Church. In the old testament Rock means God. When you say there is no evidence about Peter being the first Pope, do you mean no Biblical evidence? There are 67 million Catholics in America! Are we all blindly led and brainwashed?
