    ok good news, i managed to reset the system password...now i have another problem, it needs a hdd password now, lol, i checked the bios, u cant remove it without entering the password. how lame...any ideas?

    try putting the disk for windows Xp in there, or linux, something... just some operating system disk and see if it will let you install the operating system on it.

    well until now, its been about 3 months that the battery has been out lol...but still doesnt work....i know there must be a way, either by shorting one of the IC's or something...the memory has to be kept somehwere...if u can help wit anything plz let me know...i can even send u an HQ pic of the mother board if you like thanks

    some motherboards have the switch and some motherboards don't. mine doesn't have one. my old motherboard had one. it just depends. what happened when you took the battery out and put it back in? did you leave the battery out for at least 10 seconds?

    Well, i have taken it apart(what a mission it was) removoved the battery...nothing...its been out for a month...i heard something about jumpers, where u can use that to reset it...its almost like a switch i think...havent seen it though

    if you don't know that password you need to take that F**ker apart and reset that. just take out the battery and put it back in. i've never taken apart a lapton before and therefore i can't tell you how to do it. but i will tell you that you are screwed if you don't open that thing up and reset that BIOS. you can't boot into your operating system

    hi, i have a dell laptop, kinda old, but as soon as i turn on the laptop, it asks for a password...is that for the bios or supervisor? how do i reset it? OS wont load and i cant even go to the bios without entering this password...thanks

    This is very informative. I would like to request a video on how to format drive C ALONE without affecting the files stored in Drive D. What things must be done coz Im planning to transfer all my personal files to drive D then format C only since my pc was affected by a virus. Is this possible?     Check with the manufacturer. Most have a special way to remove the BIOS/CMOS password. Google your questions with the Make/Model. Your answer may be out there.
