It was Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs in 2006 for the Lakers and Suns. The Lakers were expected to miss the playoffs before the season. But, carrying the team on his shoulders, Kobe Bryant willed the Lakers singlehandedly to the playoffs and to the 7th seed, holding numerous memorable moments during the season including an 81 point game. He rightfully deserved the MVP that year. But seeing how the hype for MVP was mostly on Steve Nash, Lebron James, and Dirk Nowitzki, he took it upon himself to nearly upset the Suns in the 7 games series.

In Game 2, Kobe made 3 of his first 4 shots, including 2 early assists. Then he led his team to an important 2nd quarter run that put LA up by 15 at the half, showing his passing ability.

The Suns though went on a 3 point shooting barrage in the 2nd half cutting the lead to 7. That set the stage for one of the great playoff dunks of NBA history. Off of a Luke Walton miss, Lamar Odom grabbed the offensive rebound, gave it to a slashing Kobe Bryant, who had the perfect timing. Then he timed his jump perfectly to avoid an offensive foul on Nash for a posterization, showing who was the real MVP. Or showing that Nash was MVP, but that he was most viciously posterized. That crucial dunk gave LA a win to tie the series at 1 game apart.

Pause it at 7:01, Kobe's still on the floor and Nash has his feet set outside the circle. Haha but still, incredible dunk, Kobe deserves a call here and there 'cause he's so damn awesome.

The problem was Nash put his arms in front of him and outward, so it doesn't matter a ref is gonna call that a defensive every time.
