What a great video! With my DSLR I just tape on a piece of aluminum foil with a needle hole in the middle as the lens.
I've got great results using a cardboard box with the aluminum foil lens and a sheet of 8x10 photo paper as the negative for making contact prints.
I guess you need to take the film out of the case to load? In what, a lightbag?

You could shoot regular 35mm color print film, though, with no problem. That could be developed anywhere. You'd then have to find a way to scan the film, either at home or at the photo lab.
