  • I would like to ...

I would like to build one of these to use as a well pump. It would need to be like those big cool antique Rider-Erickson models. As long as it could produce at least 1hp of pumping power when powered by a solar water heater and cooled by the water it pumps. These engines are amazing. If big oil wasn't in control of everything, I'm sure we'd see many more of them.

  • yea like look up ...

yea like look up like the russians build a deep hole in the earth and got boiling water, i think it was about 500 ft. this means that the boiling water or even a lighter gas like hydrogen would get excited in a closed tube to run a steam turbine or stireling engine, its actually pretty cool, free energy is all around us! of course a powerful ones right below our feet!

  • I think you should ...

I think you should do a video on geothermal heating. Im young now, but someday when im older i would like to heat my house that way. i was told its possible by trenching lines into our field, and bring them back to the house, and it would heat it, but i was wondering how good would it transfer heat, and how hot would it get in the middle of winter. i would like to make one of these engines someday on my metal lathe

  • Great stuff as ...

Great stuff as usual. I just bought one of those tiny stirling engine kits that are supposed to run on the heat of your hand. The only problem is that I need to assemble it myself. I think I'll attempt the build tomorrow and document the entire process and post the video to help more people get the idea of how these awesome engines work.
