Well, I don't recall saying he had bad technique, I merely said it's good that he started learning Tai Chi Chuan at such a young age.

Wow. I've been wanting to take up Tai Chi for a long time now. I already do Karate, a non-contact style, and am going for my black belt next July, and I know the feeling of raw power, but I want to learn what it means to have true finesse, to have my movements flow. Anybody know anywhere for Chen Style Tai Chi in the NE of Enland?

pfft i'm too impatient to perform tai chi..i think i'll stick to muay thai or maybe take up a yang or hard kung fu...

If his teacher is Wang Xian, then is teacher is the real deal. Wang modifies all his forms. All the main teachers of Chen have slight variations of their own. If you look at Wangs standard 1st form) you'll see that is a combination of "old" and "new frame". His sons have been major push hands competitors, and are very solid in their forms. This kid has good flow, but his knees "wooble" too much. The form is a blend of 1st and 2nd forms and new and old frame concepts.
