It's interesting when she says 'pakis' ferguson says we're out of time to change the subject...he stops laughing very quickly.

But at the same time does do a pretty racist impression...maybe coz hes been away form scotland he forgotten how to act

Ferguson is just saying that when he goes to Wales he has a Pakistanic accent.

Well, that as it may be, a lot of people would disagree. We all have different levels of tolerance for these things.

Take me, for example. I'm Scottish, and I don't mind the occasional bad impersonation of the accent or jokes about kilts, haggis, bagpipes and what-have-you, but if I feel it's an attempt to make a fool of me rather than just a laugh, I start to get annoyed. There will be other Scottish people who'd get pissed off instantly, and others who don't care at all.

Same thing with you.

I just seized up when she said "paki", if I'm not mistaken in many countries thats like saying the n word. It is where I live.

Paki is an acceptable term. Just watch "East is East" on Dvd.

I'm Scottish and "Paki" isn't acceptable where I live. It may be used by neds and whatnot but most people find it offensive.
