RUSH - Setting Up Neil Peart's Drums - Red Rocks, Denver

Having been a drum tech for one of the biggest bands of the 80's touring the USA - I can tell you that it is incredibly hard work - and you don't really get to enjoy the show as you are watching like a hawk for stuff on the kit going wrong,,,it's a labour of love though!

if you don't like it, that's your right. listen to whatever you enjoy. but if you're going to make such a negative comment like that on a video like this...well, then it would certainly make it look like all you're trying to do is rile people up.

Note that Half of the setup is purely stands, rods, and more stands. Oh wait, I think i saw a stool in there somewhere.

I bet that takes about 3 hours in real life but good footage

Do you honestly think DW charges Neil anything for that kit? What drum company wouldn't kill to have Neil use their stuff?
The only thing DW is asking is "what color do want your kit to be this time Mr. Peart," and "do you prefer gold, brass, or chrome hardware?"
Also, I'm sure Lorne got paid very well for his work. I wish I could be as frustrated with my job : )

I read somewhere that it takes Lorne about two hours to set the whole kit up (including mics). Unfortunately, they kicked us out before he was finished.

makes u think on how much that drum set cost him and how frustrated the guy setting it up is lol good vid and ya get a job or be a groupie for rush lol

im from the uk and they dont let us into the venue while they are setting up.
