Nikon D90 Vs Nikon D300 (which is for You?)

yes, but it is not a good as a compact camera the auto focus in live view is terrible slow on a dslr and only good to use on a tripod.

lol, cool. i dont know much about slr's, but is the live view mode on the d90 like standard copmact cameras where u can see the pic on the screen instead of lookin through the viewfinder?

it has one live view mode, just tripod mode, the d300 has two live view modes. and that noise it the pool strangely enough

Just a few quick questions.. is the d90's live view good? and is the d90's video mode in avi or quicktime?

i pronounce it naikon aswell. I think it sounds better.

the view finder does seem very similar, thats what I thought when I switched from a d80 to the d300 but 100% over 96% coverage make a big difference especially in tightly framed situations. If coverage is not a big issue for you then there is not much difference between the d90 and d300s viewfinders.

This would be contrary of what you mentioned, but when I looked at the specs, the viewfinder of the D90 seemed to be very similar to the D300. Maybe 97% or so.

Awesome idea! I own a D300 and was thinking about to change for a D90 for the lighter and smaller body (I carry mine everywhere, everyday). The brightness and size of the viewfinder issue made me think again. Do you have any impressions about level of noise at hi-ISO modes? I saw a sample that looks to show that the D90 does a little better at 3200. Maybe Nikon did some processing improvement?

cool, i didnt know that but remember those high quality camcorders cost thousands were as the d90 cost 1000.

Canon DSLR lenses are interchangeable with their high quality camcorders I believe.

wow man this is exactly what I was looking for, even though I already made my choice as of 5 min ago... D300! haha can't wait to get it in my hands!
