this whole thing looks so smooth, but the guys attacking him know how to fall else they 'd be critcally injured, so this why it looks choreographied.
in a real fight they wouldnt just fall over the wrist...i guess they'd fall directly on the back, and then its over...

This guy is a master. Who can touch him? The great thing about Aikido is that you use your opponent's strength to bring him down. I am thinking of taking aikido lessons :)

This demo with the music is awesome. Makes me want to get back in the dojo! I featured the vid in a post that ended with ohtsuka demoing wado ryu. Whatever the beat em up fans say against Seagal the actor or whether aikido is tougher than godo ryu or disco, who cares. If 99.9% of the world followed any martial art as practiced by the masters without egos, the world would be a better place.

Does a martial artist S**k if there's anyone in the world who can beat him? Of course not. It's futile to say "this or that is better than Aikido", because Aikido is not for competition. It's for self-defense. Do you think black belt karate students go around mugging people or pick fights in a bar? Aikido works fine in such situations, in fact, let's say two people are holding you and a third is gonna f ck you up, Aikido is the technique to learn.

Can we stop with the rumors? These videos show Seagal practicing Aikido with fellow aikidoka. Do you have a video of the martial artist YOU favor, defeating a high-ranked aikidoka? No. Until then, study the videos that are here instead.

Even though some may have a problem with "nobody attacks by rushing you, reaching for your wrist" :) Aikido works superbly against a stomach punch, someone grabbing you and raising his fist, choke holds, etc.

Gene Labelle choked out Bruce Lee and Steven Segal for a period of 20 minutes on the ground.. they couldnt do anything.. Ed Parker beat Gene Labelle in 15 seconds. Parker hit him 35 times in 4 seconds and it was basically over, Gene only landed 3 strikes and 1 attempt to submit. Do the math.

I know for a FACT his bodyguard choked him unconcious. His body guard was only a blue belt in BJJ which is 1 step up from a white belt!! AIKIDO SUX
