  • you guys are idiots ...

you guys are idiots. you have to be ridiculously fast and flexible to do that, and you won't have time in a real match, let alone on the street. I'm a white belt in BJJ as well, and I'm not going to front like some tough guy.

  • When Gracies went ...

When Gracies went on to the mat, they used various chokes/submissions that are not allowed or practiced within the rules of the various sports they defeated. They said and I quote directly from a youtube video:Judo cares about rules,BJJ cares about winning. Now,BJJ practicioners cry,eye gouging etc is against fair play.Doesn't BJJ care solely about winning and surival anymore? You would see where you stand with BJJ if the mates of your opponent in a Brooklyn street fight attacked you.

  • the way i ...

the way i understand it is.. .you "attack" someone in "the streets", no rules apply for the attacker or the person being assulted. If there is a "crowed" watching the "assult", then I'd wonder why no one stepped in to help the assulted, unless that's the world we live in now. And from the sounds of it,.. it is, So, all bets are off,..if you are attacked,..NO RULES, EVERYTHING IS GAME,.. AND PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL COST. F**k your attacker and "rules".

it isn't easy to get out of an armbar, nomatter what, unless the dude taking it is unusually week, and even though you have double joints, you'r joints will still break, just that you won't feel it untin it breaks, and good luck, hope you end up with a broken arm after that trick!

  • i dont think so at ...

i dont think so at all. from what i understand your saying is that the styles of fighting were learned and used in an enviroment with rules, and by taking those rules away they could be beaten??..."But by not "warning" their opponents when they knew the mistakes about to occur, isn't that cheating.." what are you even saying 0.0...i cant see how gracie style is cheating? your the only one on here saying theyare, its your opinion, so w/e.

  • When the Gracies ...

When the Gracies first introduced what they did, they challenged a lot of martial sports like Karate, Judo, TKD etc and fought against those people accustomed to certain rules, without using those rules. What they did is prove that learning to abide by certain rules means that you will be trapped by them in a no rule situation. But by not "warning" their opponents when they knew the mistakes about to occur, isn't that cheating, unsportsmanlike? All they've done is change the rules not eliminate them

  • Yes, its fair.All ...

Yes, its fair. All of it.Unless you are in a sport and have agreed not to do certain things, all is fair game.R U trying to tell me that if someone tries to hurt you or kill you you will fight "fair"?When the Gracies won their challenges, especially in Judo, was it fair that they added something slightly more realistic in a sport where certain things are pre-agreed?Do you consider fighting against weapons should have rule of fairness? You tell me...
