with everything you say, they are an awesome breed and my favorite breed! but i suggest going to the shelter to adopt one instead of buying one. there are soooooooooooooooooooooooo many that need homes. thats where i got my boy. hes the biggest baby. he will only play with my cat. and they sleep curled up together every night. hes the best dog iv ever had!

Any breed of dog can do what you just said , I got an amstaff , the thing to do is to actually be a good dog owner and dont let the dog do those things , that and socialize the dog ,

stupid ignorant people. one bad experience with a pit doesn't mean that all pits are bad. I love the breed. I don't think that there's a more loyal or caring breed. All any dog wants to do is please it's owner, so if your pit jumped fences to attack other animals, then maybe you should have played more with him. they respond to kindness. I've had pits for a long time, and mine are sweet. not only do they not snap at me, they don't attack anything else

exactly its a breed that has to be hugged or played with alot of dogs get ignored and get attention when its being bad , so the dog keeps doing those bad things cuz its getting attention , its simple. be a good owner anydog would lash out if it was negleted or abused thats why i dont undertsand why pit bulls get jumped on so much.

please carry on sticking up for your dogs, i don't have a pit, but i have a border collie, it makes me wonder which will be the next victimised breed if we watch the pitbull go, because of idiot abusive owners, who raise a dangerous dog, due to their own personality defect...seems to me that the only "defect" a pitbull owns is intense loyalty and obedience...shame the "macho" way these dogs look attract such morons, i'm sure they are as lovely as my collie. xxx

we have two pitbulls and they are the sweetest dogs ever. i promise you that. we used to have a jack russel terrior and she was a bitch. but she was also a sweetheart. and we used to have a boxer and he always tried to bite people so its only how you raise your pits!. i love both my pits ! :)

yea i agree pitbulls are chill. labradors and other "popular" breeds are just as dangerous if not more. pits just get a bad rap.

My daughter and I have had Gabbie (3 y/o champagne APBT) for a year now. We knew the stories, heard the news, watched the videos...Then we went on line to a rescue site. Watched youtube and made a desicion. We adopted her. She has been the best dog we have ever had. And my daughter is 9 y/o. Gabbie is a smart, beautiful dog that was given a second chance despite her breeds reputation. Try it. we wouldn't have any other breed. ROCK ON RESPONSIBLE PITTY OWNERS
