    I think it was actually filmed in 1972, not long before his stroke, to announce the new 1973 model year VW cars.

    This is one of Jimmy Durante's last appearances. It was filmed in 1973...a year after he suffered a stroke (1972) and was confined to a wheelchair.
    Jimmy was a trooper until the end!
