  • So this is what ...

So this is what happens when writers go on strike? I get it.
Kudos to Susan and Chaz for supporting the writers, by highlighting the important contribution of writers in film, TV and music.

Some films have pointless babble anyway and even the most talented actors cannot make the film watchable. Regardless, the writers should be paid residues and any royalties whenever and wherever their work is distributed or broadcast.
Hope the writers don't back down!

  • The Canadian ...

The Canadian Government gives US producers tax breaks if they use Canadian works. So they don't pay any taxes up here. Now with the dollar at par there is no real reason to film in Canada any more and the only US films that are here now are the ones that signed contacts last year before the change.

  • Congrats on the ...

Congrats on the ACTRA contract but I'd like to see the work stay in the US, not go to Canada, or New Zealand as it has been trending. Canada has restrictions on American workers when shooting there so it does effect the American TV and film industry workers.
