if it were up to me, i wouldn't use youtube, but the only reason youtube stays alive is because lots of people use it already. most well known, most "popular"

and it attained taht networking power in it's initial growth. the success of that can be attrbuted to one factor or another.

but what it is now, is a piece of crap

this is what i complain about all the time. it's not even by size, but an arbitrary time limit. audio is never in synch either.

but the reason why its only 10 min is because profitability is finite. better quality for us is less profitability for them. thus restrict and ration as much as possible in order to squeeze out maximum profit/cost ratio.

this research is outstanding. I have to watch a few times to take it all in, I thought I knew quite a lot having researched this for years but there is so much new information here. Thank you for sharing this, I have told many others to watch too.

why is every damn video on you tube only ten mins

The 10 min limit has been there since youtube started, but youtube put the signup page for account upgrade but they closed it already. I just realized that they already closed it after Google bought youtube so I assume it's only until that time when Google bought it.

Though I can suggest you to search this term: "Lets get Youtube to let us upload more than 10mins of video" and watch that video uploaded by "Icegoten40".
