Don Rich was Buck's best friend and trusted companion. After Don died when his motorcycle hit that guard rail on highway 99, even old Buck admitted that he lost his spark for playin' after Don passed...

Here's to Don and Buck playin' together again in the sweet hereafter...

    Descansa en paz buen amigos!

  • FYI-Buck Owens ...

FYI-Buck Owens holds the record for consecutive #1 singles on the Billboard charts. The record stands at 15. No one well ever touch it. Buck had a total of 20 #1's.
And when he and Dwight Yoakum re-recorded
Streets of Bakersfield it hit #1 again. Buck
really was special. He did "buck" the system,
I believe he was the first country star to use drums. I think Buck's string of #1's would have comtinued had Don Rich(the guy on Buck's right) not been killed in "74.
    LONG LIVE THE MUSIC!!!

Hey Bigsky, do you really feel that way? I hope not. Whether it took 2 minutes or 2 months it doesn't change the fact it's a great piece of work. If Buck Owens isn't Honky Tonk I don't know what is.
