I dont get the people who say "edge is not the greatest" who cares, what U2/bono/edge, bring is originality, yes they are effects, but no-one has done it before them. Bono altought he talks alot of S**t , he is still the greatest lyric writer to date in my opinion, mixed with the rest of the bands talents!.

maybe not the best solo version but still excellent and yes i think the edge is 1 of the best guitarists alive if not thee best listen to solo from love is blindness and untill the end of the world and many more u2 songs including the intro riff to 'where the streets have no name' it's just pure genius and as for john frusciante obviously he's a great guitarist but he just to boring most of the time although i do have a soft spot for scared tissue and road tripping!

I like the sound of edges solo but as soon as it finishes the song deserves to cick back into energy, and where is the 'this guy comes up to me' bit? thats usually the best part.

my opinion John Frusciante beats him hands down. Along with Tom Morello. Edge is good, not amazing.
