REDBALL - Bipolar Bare

o.k. First I would like to state that this is a very good film...But, It has absolutely NOTHING to do with being BIPOLAR. Not one single bit of it displays what it is like to suffer from bipolar disorder. Where is her manic state? Is that what you think manic is? Because mania is a GREAT feeling..not a bad one, until the come down from it when you hit depression after the guilt sets in from being impulsive...and making poor choices. Sometimes there can be some core messed up things..like fantasies that are scary, and anxiety attacks, but nothing from what you show here. Unless you are trying to portray her fighting her depression! point is...Bipolar isn't psychosis. Please research before you try to show the world what it is like to suffer from a mental illness. I am bipolar, and I wouldn't want people to think that I am psychotic...But very nice work as far as art goes!

Well, not really. The dream was a metaphor. The disorder is on display throughout the dream. Of course, I know that this particular short film is so badly executed that it may be difficult to grasp the subtleties of the disorder...that is my fault. I am planning to reshoot the whole thing. But until them I thought I would throw this version up just for the heck of it.

So, this is more based on your dream than the actual disorder I'm assuming...

BiPolar Disorder is never the same each time. In fact, the way it's portrayed has many similarities.

The older girl is bipolar. The little girl represents the disorder's hold on her. She can never escape it. Even when she finds comfort in a new relationship...she is never safe. It will always come back...baouncing back like a ball.

I have bipolar and I must admit that I don't see the world at all like that. But nice job on the video though
