Thank you. Basing on my downvoting, it seems that I've not been taken seriously, which I was.

the doctor will ask to the patient if he wants to proceed for the procedure or if the doctor will come back after 5 minutes to proceed the procedure(so that the erection would stop)... If there is an erection the patient may feel embarrassed so the doctor would definitely ask this question.

What does a doctor do if the patient gets an erection?
