              Someone mentioned NYCB. Yeah, NYCB is a great American company- GB's vision. His point was to turn stolid Russian ballet tradition on it's side! He took classical ballet and added American spirit to it! What we have seen is an extension of what a dancer, directed by human imagination, is capable of! I'll keep it simple, old-school, and stateside: Twyla Tharp or Paul Taylor. Why did Baryshnikov defect? Art grows, and too bad if you can't keep up! I was amazed by the video.

                  Mcbrat26 this is real ballet! you obviously arn't aware of all the practice and time put into theas things. Thease dancers are 2 billion percent amazing, and you should keep your mounth shut, unless you can beat what they are doing then you shouldn't say anything it only shows your own stupidity and ignorance. go have a couple point classes yourself! when your feet are bleeding and the skin is ripping apart, you can remember your remark about this not being real ballet! The dancers are amazing!!

                        i agree...this isn't ballet. i think the new york city ballet swan lake is much more impressive, nuanced & subtle. but yes they are good acrobats.
