The kids at Emilys Soup Kitchen range from babies to early teenage years. They all live in this community and live in poverty. The soup kitchen is there for these street children, who are left with next to nothing. At Emilys, children feel safe from the violence and danger that exists in their homes. Most of the children are forced to look after themselves and fend for their brothers and sisters. Thirty percent of the children are orphaned.
