Well the force due to gravity on the way down is 9.8 which is 1g. But the -ve acceleration felt through stopping, i guess there saying is = to 2x gravity. Hence 2g's.
It makes sense.

How is acceleration 2G.....?

i done one over water which was 164 meters

i've been bungee jumping twice, and haven't hurt myself, but my guess is yeah you could probably hurt your back. just err on the side of caution.

They lower you to the ground and the cage goes back down as well, there are people at the bottom to catch you and lay you on the ground.

By the way when you jump - do they pull you back up? Or just release the rope .

i went bungee jumping 2 months ago and it is the best. i strongly recomend it for everyone
