im an aussie and believe me,i want a reason to follow stoner.if moto gp follows f1s lead and brings in a control ecu restricting tc and launch control and engine braking i will be screaming for him from qatar all the way to pi,although i think his personality is the equivilent to cats piss.quote from vermuelin amcn mag.give us 250 hp, 1000cc and no electronics and let us put on a show.you wont hear stoner say that in a hurry,a shame cause he will be listened to.

I can't understand why people are slagging Stoner, Casey and his duke are near perfect, I'd just put it down to jealousy

If a rider F**ks up then he should have to deal with it and live with it not let electronic aids help him recover, Stoner rode absolutely flawlessly in qatar and i praise him for it, but would it be different without TC. personally i believe it should be banned as bikes should totally man controlled not electronic controlled as it takes the skill away from riding

I'm a Rossi fan, but I think all the criticism of Stoner is ridiculous. Just as Yamaha without Rossi for the past few years would be nowhere, where would Ducati be without Stoner? Where did Melandri (or the other dukes) finish in Qatar?

hey everybody's forgeting that when motogp went to 800cc ducati had an advantage with its desmodromic valves, everybody else is playing catch up now with new valve set ups...and being a major rossi fan i still think ducati just got the right bike rider set up!!

We must just respect the riders. It are all great riders. Mayby some make advantage with their bike but it isn't only the rider that rides it's also the bike. MotoGP is the whole package of the rider AND the bike.

I just read the articles your refering to and seems like sour grapes from Rossi.If it is so easy to ride these TC bikes then why dont these older riders just open the throttle and start winning.The majority of these complaints are coming from older retired racers,not current racers.Like i said earlier Stoner is more than happy to eliminate TC and all riders aids I think if this happens you will still see Stoner winning.Stoner would prefer to slide and muscle a big bike around than use TC anyway.

thank you i do know it all, well not all but certainly more than u when it comes to current affaris in MotoGP, n i know this pisses u off because u know im right. no ones watching me race because ive never been rich to pay for a career and unlike most fuckers ive had to work for everything in my life.. i am not making this S**t up, driver aids are making motogp dull and riders are complaining about it and when we consider how lame it is to race with TC and what not the sport loses its prestige..

All motogp bikes have TC,and launch assist as you saw with Pedrosa's lightning start.You would also have seen Stoners bike sliding around and when his tyres warmed up he used his riding skill to make it to the front mainly in the corners.There are no longer any excuses for Rossi ar any rider to use for Stoners dominance.

You don't have to race a motorcycle to have a bit of knowlege.If you have followed motocycle gp racing and it's riders you might know that Stoner is a world class rider with a lot of experience.If you watched him race in 2006 you will see that he crashed a lot,but the races he completed were mostly in the top 5,his highest being 2nd at Istanbul.This is the very reason Ducati chose Stoner.Did you know that?,probably not.

What a great race to start the year! The 125 race was as frantic as ever, 250 no less, then in MotoGP i was expecting both Stoner and Vale in top 2, but well, this is what makes MotoGP exciting. The long wait had been worth it.

Oh, the bikes look absolutely gorgeous under the lights, it's nice to see flashes from the cockpit on the riders' faceshields, flames from the exhaust were more easily seen, sparks from toe sliders and footpegs, etc. Awesome! Hope there are more night races!
