Hey guys - 'Adventures in a Yorkshire Landscape' has to be my FAVE solo of all time.

Remember a great finish to the gig - Bill laid his 335 up against his amp and walked offto howling feedback. Came back on to rapturous applause and put is his foot on the neck to gently lean in some tone drop - who needs a locking trem???

I was there too. was it '76 or '77 when they had all the equipment problems, including the infamous plastic tube which didnt rise trapping Charlie which was immortalised in Spinal Tap?

This version was recorded at the Old Calderone Concert Hall in Hempstead, Long Island, NY. It was broadcast on WLIR radio of which I happen to have my own recording. I was 16 years old at the time when I attended this concert (now 48). I would play the licks over & over again as I Bill was my mentor. You can actually hear my whistles on the recording when he brings it down. Those were the days....

I bet I was there. I never missed Bill n the boys in Manchester.

It's the coda section from Blazing Apostles that was only a feature of the live version. Get "Tramcar to Tomorrow" or "Live at the BBC" and you'll hear it. Remember it from Their Manchester show 1976 - god that's over 30 years ago!!!
